Monthly Newsletter – May 2025

Dear Fans,
It’s May. Sorry for the late Newsletter and sloppy releases last few weeks. I’ve finally finished my renovations and have been in process of moving into my new room. Today, I finally got my desktop set up in my office. So, I finally have a desk again after nearly 4 years. Yeah, that’s how long I’ve been working on a kitchen table in a cottage without climate control or privacy. Lately, I’ve been working on my laptop, so there is no telling you how excited I am to have a functional desktop again. There are some big announcements, so let’s get to it.
Announcements
*Alright, the biggest announcement is that after carefully going through things, I’ve decided to reintroduce the Just the Tip Tier. What? I thought you already had Just the Tip? Yes, I kept the tier, but anyone who joins it is just supporting me as an author and not unlocking anything. I left those who had a lingering account to be grand fathered in. Some people seem not to understand what that means and think they can cancel, come back some other time, and get it if they’ve ever had it… whatever, doesn’t matter.
The tier is back, but it is now different, and there WILL BE NO GRANDFATHERING any longer. If you get Just the Tip, you may select one book through novel selection, just like before. However, you will only be able to access up to silver. So, Just the Tip only offers silver access for one novel, no gallery, no eBooks, not bonus chapters.
Change#2… it will no longer reset. You pick a novel, you’re stuck with that novel. One membership. One novel. Silver access. You want another novel? Cancel membership. Sign up with a new membership and select a new novel. Or, pay $5 and unlock them all.
Tomorrow, IE May the 5th, we will reset all Just the Tip accounts. You will then be able to select your novel of choice and it will be permanent for that account! Also, we’ve already removed gold access for JTP members.
* With my office done, I can also start concentrating on things like publishing eBooks again. I plan to start publishing in June.
*If you did not notice, I opened up a Yearly membership on my site. Patreon has had it for a while, but now my site does it too. At the moment, it doesn’t save you any money. However, it does give less money to the processing people, and it also gives your account less opportunity to have a problem with payments and a loss of access. If you have had issues in the past with reliable access, signing up to a year on my site means you don’t have to worry about anything going wrong for a year.
* I’ve been a bit slow with sponsorships this last month. I know I’m behind in a lot of releases both premium and sponsored. I will get on it. I just had a rough earlier in the month and then wanted to get my office done so I could seriously start writing again.
* I released one Enslaved and then stopped. What gives? I… had a volunteer who was working, then they stopped. I’ve tried to recruit others but nothing came through. I just don’t have time to reread Enslaved beginning to end right now. If someone wants to volunteer, I’d be happy to offer membership. I’m just going to leave it as a day off until I can get caught up.
*If anyone uses X… I got announcements working on X again. It is probably the most accurate and reliable announcement for my chapters. So, feel free to follow my X account, all links in my contact page.
* I have not heard any new complaints about Patreon or Subscribestar in the last month, so I’m currently assuming the new updates to the sync are working and there is no issue any longer. The one or two people I’ve encountered instead seem to be having issues with roles or using Novel Selection (for JTP). If you have issues, tell me.
*I will probably set up June’s Survey at the end of this month. So, be ready for that.
*Last big announcement! I will be switching to a homemade server. The benefit is that size and speed will be less of an issue. My tech guy is building his own server and will host our sites from now on. This will allow us to streamline a lot of stuff like interaction between the discord bot. The other thing it will allow us to do is set up an AI voice reader on the site. The books will not only be automatically read, but it will include alternate voices for the characters.
