Hawtness - Hawtness – Volume 5 – Chapter 2
The feeling continued to go on for another minute before finally subsiding. All my senses came crashing back down on me at once. I forced my eyes open, and had to blink a few times. Under me was a cute girl. She seemed to be familiar. Her eyes were closed, and she was unconscious. I quickly felt for a pulse and breathed relief when I found one.
I moved off of her and took a glance around the room. I seemed to still be in one piece and I was still in the high school. I hadn’t expected that. I had figured that I was either dead and in heaven or that I had been teleported to some place out of my reach. My chin felt scratchy, and I put my hand up to my neck. I took a deep swallow to move the lump out of my throat.
There were a bunch of other girls in the room with me all lying on the ground. Whatever Allan used must have targeted women. I supposed it made sense, what with the area of his research and all. The other girls began moving to their feet. They all seemed to be dressed in oversized shirts and baggy pants that hung off of them awkwardly.
One of the girls glared up at me, “What the hell is going on? Who are you and what did you do to us?”
She had fiery red hair and a glare on her face. She was very cute though, easily as attractive as Samantha or Alex.
“What did I do?” my voice cracked, “I didn’t do anything!”
“This is very…” another girl said when she stopped, staring down at her chest, “What are these?”
The girl had very large breasts, dark brown hair and tanned skin. She had a very curvy body. It was practically criminal to have a body that athletic and fine looking. Another girl with incredibly pale skin looked her up and down with interest.
“This is really unexpected, I never thought this would be possible,” the girl seemed to inspect the large breasted girl.
She reached out and grabbed the other girl’s breast. The big breasted girl just seemed to jut out her chest more, letting her touch them. Finally, the pale girl let go.
“Fascinating,” She then looked down and grabbed her own breasts, “I never would have thought.”
“Okay,” I spoke up, “What the hell is going on?”
Another girl, with beautiful curls and an almost angelic appearance took a few steps towards me, “Is that you, Jane?”
All the other girls seemed to freeze, staring at me with wide eyes. I looked at each of them. Why did they all seem so familiar to me?
“What is it?” I asked.
The small girl on the floor opened her eyes, rubbing them with her hand, she looked up at me. “Big… brother?”
“Jane,” the angelic girl spoke up, “You might want to take a look at the mirror.”
I turned towards a mirror on one of the walls. It took me a moment to realize what I was looking at. The girl in front of me was there. Standing next to her was a guy. He was fairly decent looking. He wasn’t muscular like Rune or Andrew, but he was wearing clothing that was way too small on him and stretched across a decently toned body. Then I realized the clothing he was wearing was a girl’s clothing. It wasn’t just girl’s clothing, it was my clothing.
I grabbed my chest, and the man in the image moved his hands to his chest as well. I had pecks in place of my breasts. I looked down, and gulped. This wasn’t happening. This wasn’t happening.
“Ridiculous,” a tall lanky girl stood up, cleaning her glasses before turning and looking at the rest of us. “Alex, why were you playing with that?”
Another girl shrugged indifferently with a mischievous smile on her face, “Well, it wasn’t my fault. You’re the one who made something that swaps genders.”
I realized the girl looked like boy Alex if boy Alex had been turned into a girl. It was awkward, and I didn’t like it. I looked around the room and finally the realization came crashing home on me. The redhead was Rune, the curly headed blonde was Andrew, the big breasted girl was Daniel, and Stephan was the pale one. Ryan sat on the picnic cloth as if nothing had happened. I realized he was also turned into a girl, but he was so natural about it I hadn’t even noticed him.
“I’m not even going to ask,” girl Rune sneered, “but how about we turn us all back right now.”
“I would love that,” the girl in glasses whom I assumed was Allan leaned over and picked up the plate, “but it would appear that the device was damaged when it hit the floor. I can fix it, but it will take some time.”
“How much time?” Rune’s voice was an octave higher.
Allan sighed. “Just some time. I can’t guarantee any specifics.”
“No worries from me,” Alex announced cockily, “I’ll just change back.”
Alex closed her eyes and after a moment, nothing happened. Her eyes shot open.
“What? I can’t change? Why can’t I change? Oh god, no. No. No!”
“Alex relax, I’m sure Allan will fix you when he fixes the machine.” I tried to reassure her.
“You don’t understand!” Alex shook her head, “It’s my whole identity. If I can’t change then I am nothing.”
“I’m not really worried about Alex right now,” Rune interrupted, “There are more important things, like the rest of us. We need to be fixed right now. We have no time.”
“Why, we’ll be fine?” I asked.
“No, we won’t. Tomorrow my dad and, oh yeah, Satan are visiting. I’m pretty sure the old man’s expecting a boy.”
Andrew winced. “I have to agree with Rune on this one. If the idea is minimizing the damage, finding out Rune has been turned into a girl might anger them.”
“Anger them? They might destroy the entire city on principle.”
A quiet spread across the group, but it was Allan who broke it, “Ridiculous. So I take it I will have to finish these repairs by tomorrow night or there might not be a day after that. Very well, I will need some supplies. You’ll have to go out and get me-”
“Woah, I’m not going out like this.” Rune shook his hands.
“What are you talking about? You just look like a girl, no one’s going to recognize you.” Allan explained.
“Well, I’m not going out in public with these.” Rune thrust his breasts out to the group. He was being very melodramatic; they weren’t that big.
“Who is going to go then?”
Six pairs of eyes turned to me. What were they looking at?
“Don’t look at me, why do I have to be the one to go?” I demanded
Allan looked up from the plate, which he was starting to tinker with, “Yes. It would be better for Jane to go.”
“What? How do you figure?”
Andrew put a hand on my shoulder. Female Andrew was now shorter than me, and she had to reach up to touch me. That was an odd feeling. I just realized I had gained about six inches in height.
“Well, you see, all of our bodies are different. Our abilities are dependent on our understanding of ourselves. If we’re not ourselves…” Andrew shrugged.
“What do you mean?” I demanded.
“Well, you see,” Daniel spoke up, “I am used to controlling my werewolf form, but to do that, I need to have an understanding of my sense of self. I need to know who I am, to retain my form. As a girl, I’m not familiar with my body. I could end up turning into a werewolf at any point.”
“It’s the same for Rune and me.” Andrew nodded. “We just don’t know these bodies very well. You might stumble and trip over your own feet. We might throw a fireball or blow up a house. I mean, I imagine that’s why Ryan is sitting right now.”
“That is correct,” Ryan nodded. “My programing is not designed to follow these particular dimensions. I am currently rewriting my program to accommodate my new parameters.”
“But… but… Daltom’s human!” I tried to deflect.
“Big brother,” there was a tug on my shirt and I looked down.
Girl Daltom stood next to me looking up with cute doe-y eyes that were far prettier than they had a right to be. She twisted her legs uncomfortably and her eyes seemed to show some fear in them.
“What is it?” I demanded.
“I need to go to the bathroom.”
“So what? Go-” I glanced down at her and realized the dilemma.
Rune sighed, “We’re all going to have to go eventually anyway.”
“I’m just going to hold it until I’m fixed. I don’t wish to sully myself in any way.” Andrew said.
“Excuse me?” I demanded.
“No, I don’t mean it like that, it’s just…”
The group descended into uncomfortable silence for a minute.
Alex sighed, “I’ll take him. I suppose I’m the most used to this kind of thing.”
Alex grabbed Daltom and led him out the door. The group of us stared uncomfortably at each other for another minute or two. Allan cursed, putting the plate down.
“It doesn’t matter if Jane goes and gets the supplies or not. There is no way that I can fix this thing.”
The room exploded at once, everyone talking on top of everyone else. Rune seemed to be predicting the end of the world. Daniel was just concerned about his capacity to function as alpha. Ryan seemed as content in girl form as any other. Allan put his hand up to his mouth and whistled, cutting the talking off with his shrill cry.
“What I am saying, is that the device is locked. One of you, while I wasn’t looking, put a password on the gender redistributor. I cannot get into the OS and fix the device unless you unlock it for me. So… who was the last person to have it?”
“Well, I didn’t lock it. Alex gave it to me.” I defended.
“Yup, Alex.” Andrew nodded.
“Definitely Alex.” Rune glared at no one in particular.
Alex moved through the door and every set of eyes turned to her. “What did I miss?”
Rune moved first, grabbing her by both arms, “You passworded the plate. It won’t work unless you take off the password.”
“I did no such thing.”
“Alex, this is important. We can’t go back to normal unless you undo the password.”
Alex shook off Rune’s arms angrily, “I’m telling you, it wasn’t me. I didn’t do anything like that. I got the stupid thing from Samantha.”
“Samantha?” Rune took a step back like he had been hit in the gut.
“Did Samantha say anything to you? Anything like a kind of password?”
“No…” Alex replied.
The fear seemed to hang tangibly in the air. My mind began to scour through everything I had heard or seen. Then it came to me in a flash. My eyes shot open as I realized that I did know the password.
“Jane?” Allan turned to me, “You know something?”
“Well… kind of. It was at the beach. After we flew back from Italy, we still had two days to help Samantha’s Uncle. She was tinkering with that plate while in bed. I had just come up and Alex was out flirting with some guys. She was looking at a magazine… just playing around. She saw a picture of some cute guy, then she said… something and then the plate made some annoying beeping sound.”
“That’s the password taking. Jane, what did she say?” Allan demanded eagerly.
“I think I’m in love.”
“Excuse me?” Allan seemed taken aback.
“That’s what she said. She said ‘I think I’m in love.’ Then it beeped.”
“Are you absolutely certain that’s what she said?” Allan asked intently.
I gave him a nod, and he lowered his eyes, shaking his head in disbelief.
“Well, good then, we have the password. So just go ahead and unlock it,” Rune nodded to Allan.
“You don’t understand,” Allan sighed, “The password is unique to the person. Samantha is the only voice that the device will recognize.”
“You’re not saying what I think you’re saying…” Rune began.
“I’m saying someone needs to get Samantha to declare that she thinks she is in love by Tomorrow, or I can’t fix this thing… and Rune’s uncle will destroy the city.”
“Well, how do we get her to say it?” Stephan asked.
“Well… she wouldn’t recognize any of us, so it would be difficult to convince her to just say it,” Allan explained, “So someone will have to convince her she’s in love with something.”
“Yeah, that might have been possible as a guy,” Alex sighed, “But we’re all girls now.”
Allan glanced over at me, “Not all of us.”
Wait. What?
Andrew nodded thoughtfully, “Jane knows Samantha better than anyone.”
“And she’s not a bad looking guy,” Alex winked.
“No… you guys aren’t suggesting what I think you guys are suggesting.” I took a few steps back as all the girls in the room began to stare at me with thoughtful glances.
Allan threw out his hand and pointed at me. “Then it’s decided. Jane, you have until Tomorrow night to seduce Samantha and get her to confess her love, or else the entire city, if not the entire state will be destroyed. You are our only hope.”
Well, shit again.
