Automatic Girlfriend - Chapter 7

How was I going to explain this to Jenna? Should I just make up something like I had come all the way to the mall to buy gum? It meant my entire day was ruined! The mall did close in an hour, so it wasn’t like I could take her home and then come back. By then, it really would be too late. The thing that stopped me from abandoning my plan was the thought of Amy at home with no clothing on. I couldn’t explain why it bothered me so much, but I felt she should have at least one outfit.

Jenna turned when she saw me not joining her and gave a small smirk. “What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you’re trying to buy something naughty.”

“I-I…trying…” I looked away, unable to keep my cheeks from blushing, but I needed to say it to get her off my back. “I’m getting… lingerie… for my girlfriend.”

Once again, my sex doll had been upgraded to the status of girlfriend. This was embarrassing, but once she understood my intent, then she’d leave me be. It wasn’t that odd for a guy to buy his girlfriend lingerie, right?

I looked back at her because she hadn’t responded. Her mouth was slightly agape, and she was looking at me in shock. Was it that shocking though? Was she doubting I had a girlfriend, or that I’d buy her lingerie?

“S-sorry,” She finally looked away. “I didn’t know you had a girlfriend.”

How could it be new if it was our anniversary? I didn’t know what I was saying. Was she even buying this? Her eyes looked slightly disappointed. I wasn’t sure what she was disappointed about. Didn’t she have a boyfriend? Did she want to follow me around? It was probably just that she lost her ride.

“Then…” She looked away for a moment and then shot me a firmer glare. “I have to help you pick out something good!”

“Wh-what?”

“Who’d be better at picking out stuff for a girl than a fellow girl? If I let you pick something out, you’ll likely completely mess it up!” She declared with certainty before reaching out and grabbing my arm and pulling me.

I had no choice but to go with her as she tugged me along. As I saw where she was taking me, I immediately felt the urge to resist. I had intended to go to some basic department store and pick up a pack of underwear. If I picked up anything sexy, it’d be from a rack hidden in the back of the store while no one was looking. However, she was pulling me into a girl’s underwear store. Many of the outfits were downright scandalous.

Her hand seemed to tighten on my arm as she reached the entrance and she slowed for a second, as if even she was having doubts, but then she yanked me right in. We were the only ones entering the store this late thankfully, but that means we were noticed immediately by the lady in the store. She was an older woman, likely one of the managers, and she walked over to us immediately with a smile on her face.

“Welcome. Can I help you?” She asked, her eyes flickering to my arm where I was still being held by Jenna. “Looking for something as a couple?”

Jenna’s hand pulled away from my arm like it was burnt, and suddenly after coming this far she grew shy. “C-couple?”

“You want something for your boyfriend? Our fitting rooms are open if you’d like to try something on for him.”

“Y-you can try them on?” I responded in surprise.

The store manager nodded with a smile. “Mm… we’re a specialized boutique. Just pick out what you want and try it on, let me know which ones you want to buy, and I’ll bring you the untouched pair from the back. This way, you can make sure you both like it. Are you interested?”

Jenna’s face turned pink as she realized what the lady was suggested. “Th-that… um, yes, okay!”

“Huh?” I spun in shock over Jenna’s answer.

Jenna grabbed my arm again, this time pinching it slightly. “Come on, honey, let’s go pick some stuff out?”

She pulled me away as the lady watched with a smile. When we put enough distance from her I leaned toward Jenna.

“What are you doing?”

“Y-you won’t know what it will look like on your girlfriend unless you see it on someone.” Jenna declared, although her cheeks were still pink.

“You don’t have to go that far…”

“It’s fine! I said it’s fine!”

It might be fine with her, but would it be fine for her boyfriend? I really should reject it, but I was just a guy after all. The thought of a girl modeling in her underwear for me? How could that not be exciting to a loser like me?

Thinking of such things and not sure how I even got into such a situation in the first place, I let Jenna pull me around the store like we were a couple. I didn’t pick very much. I let Jenna do it all, while I occasionally commented. Before long, she had a half-dozen bra and panty sets, and a few other more risqué nighties.

The lady led us to the back of the store, and a few minutes later, I was sitting down and waiting while Jenna got changed. There was a private showing room as well as a changing room. Jenna was in the stall and I could hear the ruffling of clothing as she took off her clothing, while I sat in a room with various mirrors, still in a state of perpetual stunned silence.

“I-I just heard that a lot of couples come to this place.” A voice came out quietly from the changing stall. “I always wanted to come but my boyfriend hates the mall.”

So, it was like that. Jenna had wanted to come here on her own, but couldn’t work up the courage, so she used me. I felt a little better after understanding her motivations. However, this store might be too much for the pair of us. I accidentally looked into a nearby trash bin, and there was a condom wrapper in there. I had a distinct feeling this was a hookup area for the mall, and the store seemed to embrace this. They called themselves a high-class boutique, but right across from this room was a section filled with various things like straps, fuzzy handcuffs, and massagers.

I had a feeling I understood the true nature of this store. It was a sex shop pretending to be a lingerie shop. However, wasn’t that exactly what I wanted? They had all of the stuff I was looking to get. Well, I wanted to buy the doll normal clothing too, but at least I could get the lubricant. Should I buy other stuff? Maybe, I should buy a dildo?

I shook my head. The idea of sticking something into my sex doll was far too weird! It wasn’t like she would feel it or something. I was just being crazy again. I heard a click, breaking me out of my thoughts. I looked up, and when I saw Jenna standing there, my mouth fell open. “Wh-what do you think?” she asked in a high-pitched voice.

She spun around and fled back into the room, slamming the door behind her.

“Jenna?”

“I’m sorry.” I heard her sniffle, and I realized she was crying. “I thought I could do it, but it’s just… too much.”

I put on an awkward smile. I didn’t disagree. We barely knew each other and she was modeling for me in a notorious hookup spot? We both were dating other people. Actually, no, I wasn’t! Well, she didn’t know that.

“It’s fine. You don’t have to model. Just helping me pick out some items was already enough.” I spoke into the stall, although I couldn’t see her or what mood she was in.

There was a brief moment of silence. “I-is it really okay?”

“Yeah.”

“D-did you mean it?”

“What?”

Even though I didn’t see her, my own face turned red. “Ah… I mean, you’re very beautiful anytime. If your boyfriend saw you, he would surely be excited.”

I tried to put the pressure off of me. There was a minute of silence, and I was afraid she was still angry. Then, there was a click and the door opened. I was going to look away, but then I realized that she had managed to toss her clothing back on. She looked at me with an innocent smile. There was no sign she had either been crying or shamed.

“Shall we go?” She asked in a chipper voice as if nothing had happened.

“Sure…” I was a little dizzy from her sudden changes in demeanor, but I still followed her out of the room.

“Have you finished?” The store manager had a knowing smile, suggesting she meant more than just changing.

“We’re done. He’ll take these three.”

She dropped three of the outfits down, and then pushed the other three to the side.

“I’ll get this then.” The store manager declared.

“Actually, um… can you get them in these sizes.” I pushed a paper out.

Yes, I had sized the sex doll before I came. Naturally, she was a bit curvier than Jenna, with wider hips and bigger breasts.

“Um, just these two in that size.” Jenna declared, and when I looked at her she gave me a pleading look.

I was buying her lingerie now too? Under that look, I couldn’t say no though. I sighed and nodded, and she broke into a smile. The store manager was curious about it but didn’t ask questions. She took one look at the paper with the sizes on it, nodded, and left to the backroom.

Realizing the hypocrisy of acting icy while I was buying her something expensive, her skin wasn’t that thick.

The store manager returned with the items in their original packaging and started ringing everything up. “Do you need anything else?”

Remembering that other item, I decided to just go for it. “Yeah, I need this.”

I took several hard steps across the room, grabbed the first lubricant I could find, and then put it on the counter, trying to look as casual as possible. Jenna looked down at the bottle of intimacy lubricant, and her face turned red. The store managers knowing smile grew, while I just kept my back straight and prayed this would be over quickly.

I felt a tug on my arm and glanced over at Jenna, who was now looking away shyly. “Y-you will… probably should buy… condoms.”

“What? I don’t need condoms.”

She looked up in shock, her eyes wide, her mouth falling open. Oops, I wasn’t thinking and said something unexpected.
