My Dungeon Life – Chapter 1677-1679
Chapter 1677
“Master, something has to be done.”
“Hmm? What’s wrong, Terra?”
“Master has slept with Lydia!”
“Well, her soul was split in two. Being intimate allowed me to get a better understanding of the state of her god soul.”
“That’s right!” Lydia agreed, so I reached out and patted her head, causing her to purr.
“Th-that might be true, but you also slept with Shao!”
“She had fallen into despair when she thought I was dead in another world. I had to bring her back from the cusp of suicide.”
“It’s true!” Shao nodded. “I’d kill myself if Master didn’t sleep with me.”
“And you also had sex with Miki.”
“Miki was in a dark place…”
“And she needed your penis?”
“I did, I feel much better now.” Miki defended.
“Well, how about Carmine?” Terra accused.
“She needed comfort too…” I scratched my cheek awkwardly.
“I was a puppet,” Carmine admitted.
“You even slept with Faeyna, and she’s just the maid!”
“I was saving her soul.”
“I did commit suicide.” Faeyna sniffed.
“Nevermind her, you had sex with Garn… eh, I mean Sapphire!”
“That time, I was saving your soul!”
“Crap! Celeste?”
“I don’t think I had sex with Celeste,” I responded, thinking back to the last few months.
“That he’s aware of…” Celeste responded.
“What?”
“Nothing!”
“What are you trying to get at, Terra?” I asked.
“Everyone has gotten to be intimate with Master since they’ve been back except for me!” Terra cried out.
“We haven’t been with Deek,” Elaya spoke up.
“Not at all,” Astria confirmed.
“I mean everyone who matters!”
“This girl… I’d punch her if she wasn’t made of rock.” Elaya’s eye twitched.
“Besides,” Terra threw her finger out accusingly. “You’re having sex with him right now!”
“This isn’t sex.” Elaya sniffed. “This is just naked time.”
“You’re all naked and in bed with Master!” Terra cried.
“It doesn’t count if there is no penetration.” Astria nodded.
“What’s wrong with lying in bed naked with the man you love?” Shao asked defiantly. “We’ve agreed not to go any further until Terra is back to normal.”
“Why are you naked?”
“Master has been through a lot recently. This is… therapeutic!” Lydia nodded excitedly.
“It’s just… too intimate!” Terra complained.
“I don’t get it.” Lydia shook her head. “Aren’t you naked too?”
“I’m a golem! It’s not the same thing!” Terra whined. “Plus, you won’t let me in the bed.”
“That’s because you’d break it.” Miki snorted.
“I don’t want to snuggle with a rock,” Elaya responded distastefully.
“E-either way, this can’t be allowed either!” Terra shouted. “No more naked time until I can join in!”
“Tsk… spoilsport,” Shao growled.
“Terra does make a point… It’s getting a bit hard here.” I looked down and winced.
“Ooh! I’ll handle it!” Lydia declared excitedly.
“It’s our turn, we haven’t even been penetrated yet.” Elaya declared.
“An old lady like you doesn’t need to force yourself.” Miki shot back at her. “Leave it to us younger generation.”
“Y-you…”
“No! No one gets to be penetrated by it!” Terra declared, receiving shocked and tearful looks from the rest of the girls. “I mean it! I’m putting my foot down. No sex!”
“It’s not our fault you don’t have the proper equipment to satisfy Master,” Astria complained.
“Geh! Y-you… you can change sizes at will, right? I want to see how tiny I can smoosh you!” Terra leaped onto the bed.
“Ahhh!”
“Master!”
Naked time was put to an end as the bed broke. It was unanimously decided it was time to find a way to fix Terra’s body.
Chapter 1678
Chalm was continuing to grow at an alarming rate. Terra’s wall was already proving not be large enough to contain the entirety of the city, and a new outer city was starting to spring up outside of the wall. With the Osterians taking on the frontier, the pressure decrease drastically for those who wanted to live outside of the city, and thus more farmers, hunters, and other such people were starting to move to Chalm in droves.
I was in control of five cities. There was Chalm, the capital. Chalm’s Crossing was on the border of Aberis. It was quickly becoming a transport hub. Deeksville was southeast of Chalm and was turning into a large town serving the lower west. The Osterians had started to build a city. I finally got around to asking and the name was Alysium, named after the sword that had defeated Demon Lord Aberis. Alysia didn’t know how she felt about a town being named after her, but there was little she could do about it. Finally, there was Ninetails, the city of the foxkin. It seemed like the entirety of the foxkin tribe started to cross the wilderness and headed to Chalm, sick of being persecuted by the other tribes.
There was a sixth city in my territory, that was Alerith, but technically Bernice was taking care of it. There were also probably other cities and towns, but they were all under the control of the lords and ladies of the west, including Bernice. These lords and ladies were technically loyal to me, but after clearing out the bandits and fighting off the demon lord Aberis’s forces, I hadn’t spoken much with them. I’d been letting them do their own thing, although at some point I’d probably need to work on some kind of treaty like Eliana had done with the tribes of the Ost Republic. Maybe, I should call on her to help me out in that department.
After my bonding time with the girls which was unexpectedly suddenly named naked time, I decided to do the rounds around the city. After seeing how much Eliana worked when she was a noble, I realized that I couldn’t just spend every day lying around and letting others do the work for me. That’s why I started a circuit of tasks that I would do every day. I’d walk around the city, checking various spots. I make a trip to the Palace to see how the construction was going, I’d go to the Adventuring and Traveling Guilds and check on their progress.
The Adventuring Guild was starting to grow. With the expansion of the town, requests were now as common as dirt, and new people were moving to the frontier in hopes of Adventure and gains. Besides the property being cheap, the payouts for being an Adventurer were rather high. The Adventuring Guild was not getting an expansion that would double its size and add a practice yard much like the training room I encountered in Tearfall’s guild.
In the same way, the Adventuring Guild was growing, the Traveling Guild had to expand as well. Siti had become the guild master for the local traveling guild, and so she was responsible for setting up transport circles and a transport schedule. It was a lot like managing an airport.
When I went to check on the dungeon, I had found a pleasant surprise. The dungeon had finished evolving. Elaya, Xin, and Astria all appeared at the entrance almost like they had been waiting for me to arrive.
“Let’s show Master the new dungeon.” Elaya declared.
Chapter 1679
Dungeon’s typically didn’t grow gradually. Rather, they collected energy, which came in the form of mana and was stored as miasma. Once they had absorbed enough miasma, they would then evolve. Evolution caused the dungeon to close its doors for some time. It would process all of the new lore that it had gained, and then use that lore to grow and change. Sometimes, that just meant adding new levels. Other times, it could involve updating the theme, adding bosses, or even rearranging things completely. The more traditional dungeons increased their size. It roughly translated to about ten floors every ten years, or a floor a year.
Just like with a tree though, the older it got and the more it had grown, the more set in its path it became. Perhaps, in the beginning, you can trim a tree down and make it grow horizontally, but once it had already grown vertically a few dozen meters, it was too late for such a thing. My dungeon had a bazaar upbringing. It hadn’t just been allowed to grow normally, but it had been nearly destroyed multiple times, and I had even rearranged it for my convenience.
The dungeon was created by me, but Astria, Elaya, and Xin had initially shared responsibility as the dungeon master, and I had only taken on that responsibility rather recently. I also had a soul world attached to the dungeon, but just like the dungeon, that soul world had been destroyed and regrown numerous times. There was no saying how all of these variables would affect the dungeon’s growth over time.
The instigating event this time was the massive absorption of mana from King Roth’s dungeon. I had never even entered his dungeon, nor did I know where it was, but our two dungeons were connected during our battle, and I had turned the tables and absorbed the miasma from his core. This was different from when I absorbed the human core. Typical absorption would destroy Roth’s core and absorb energy, with only snippets of lore being recovered. This was why I didn’t know everything Roth knew, since most of the information was destroyed in the process.
That said, it still was nearly double the amount of energy that the dungeon previously had, forcing it into another massive growth period. We had to chop off the area of the dungeon connected to the dwarves’ home and support it with pillars and archways, so the dwarves weren’t forced out of their new home during the update period. Thankfully, they seemed to know what they were doing when it came to underground chambers, and the transition went smoothly.
Dungeons were controlled by dungeon masters, but in a way, they were like people themselves. They were a cursed story, but as they grew stronger and older, they started to form differences. They had personalities, preferences, and attitudes. There was a bit of a tug and a pull between what the dungeon wanted and what the master wanted. A master could rule a dungeon with an iron fist, although there were also masters who became controlled by the dungeon, a tool for its desires.
Usually, it was the dungeon who made the master, a powerful dungeon boss that eventually gained enough power that they gained a sentience and miasmic soul of their own. In my case, it was the other way around, I had made the dungeon myself. Therefore, I had never really encountered any of those issues regarding the dungeon going against my will.
Other than the few times I had to change the dungeon to survive a specific battle, I had mostly left it free to do what it wanted. During this growth period, I could have probably forced it to grow a certain way that I wanted, but I had instead left the dungeon to grow how it wanted. Therefore, I had no clue how the dungeon was going to look now that it had evolved once again, but I was eager to find out.
