First I want to start by saying that thank you for another chapter. I see that Deek is about to learn that the stronger one becomes so does the power of his enemies. He is learning what all those he beat learned that hubris will always lead to ones downfall and accepting advice and help from others is what will make him more powerful. That being said, I will admit I’m shocked by this outcome in a way. While I have been saying Deek hubris this entire arc was out of control and going to cost him I think I don’t understand the relationship between his personal soul world and his daughter dungeon. The way I thought it worked was that his soul is attached to his daughter so any damage done to it would happen to his daughter. That is why at first he wouldn’t let any others in his soul world besides the original main harem for a while. I might be misremembering but I even remember a mini part of an arc where Deek talks about never letting anyone in his soul world because it could irrevocably damage to his daughter. So even with him being so full of himself it just feels weird that he would risk his daughter when that has been his bottom line since her birth like he has made it clear that nothing is aloud to touch her even making his girls feel like he is a extreme daughtercon.
I’ll explain it a little more in the next few chapters… but a dungeon is a pathway between two worlds. So, all his daughter is is a pathway between two worlds. As her master, Eliza became the source of his power. However, as his power is growing, he formed his own soul world. His soul world is not Eliza. More specifically, you could say Eliza is the “connection” between Deek’s soul and Gaia. What happened is that he bound is soul world to the core. You say he wouldn’t have done that, but that’s exactly what he would have done with any race core to use it. Sure, this relationship is more like a mantle than a master slave relationship than he has with the vampire core, but he had no reason to believe that the core was anything more than channeling the demons as his race.
So, in that moment, he realized Twilight could use him to get to Eliza. Alysia destroyed that connection. She cut the line between Eliza and Deek, and by extension his attachment to Gaia. Naturally, the cut was done on his side, causing him to form that crack in his soul, specifically to protect Eliza from facing any damage. So, the reason he’s so effed up is exactly because he did things in the way that protected Eliza the most.
OK sorry I didn’t understand how the connection between him and Eliza worked it makes way more sense now as it is not as direct of a connection as I thought it was. So the danger to her isn’t one for one. Thank you.
Naw, I just didn’t explain it too well. It’s all through Deek’s PoV and he’s just guessing at stuff. For some time, his power was Gaia’s power. After all, he was part of the Gaia system, and so everything he had was given by Gaia. Thus, is connection to Gaia, ie, his dungeon, would be equal to his strength. In a way, Eliza and his soul were the same for a time. However, as he’s grown stronger, he’s “budded off” from Gaia, becoming his own soul world. This is why he see’s the parts of Gaia hecontrols below his world. He was building a platform outside of Gaia, and it became a world. If he looked now though, Gaia would be gone, becaue his connection Eliza was severed.
