So much new lore I can’t wait to see what happens next. I guess with Alysia gone he will slowly start to connect with his family because by cutting herself away she cut away the lore that was taking the spot of that other Deek. Also this whole volume everyone wants to absorb Deek, next volume might be him talking to a counselor about where all these bad people keep touching him on a soul doll.
Man, as much as I love this story I really feel it needs a win reading it. It’s been such a depressing plot compared to the first few books, ever since he came back from the Dragon lands. I keep expecting some turn around where he regains his soul or makes up with his family, which I so desperately want, only for Deek to take another L and the story bumming me out even more.
Like it’s got to happen eventually, right?
