Power of Creation - Volume 1 - Chapter 24
“Who dares trespass in the demon lord’s domain?” An intimidating-looking creature sitting on the throne cried out seconds after I stepped through into a menacing-looking throne room. His voice boomed through the chamber, echoing off the rough, volcanic walls.
My magic had good aim, as I literally walked right into the monster’s lair. The demon sitting on the throne had massive horns on his head, curving back in a menacing display. He was covered in rough, thick, red skin, and he stood at an impressive ten feet tall. He’d be seriously scary if I weren’t completely trusting in my ability to make up any spell to make things go my way. I had already created a barrier that surrounded the throne and its connecting rooms, ensuring that we wouldn’t be obnoxiously interrupted by annoying generals and all that crap.
Although I instantly understood why Aura was not interested in raising her child here. The lava, along with the side moats, the massive black and red columns, and the intimidating, sharp edges on the throne, were not baby-approved. This place definitely needed a decorator.
“Me?” I finally answered after examining the room. “You can just call me the hero. I’m here to make sure that you leave humanity alone.”
“You dare threaten the great me!” He shouted, his voice a deep, rumbling growl. “I will destroy you!”
“Ah, Papa, what is going on? I wasn’t able to leave out the hallway-” A girl suddenly took a few steps into the room before stopping, her voice tentative and curious.
“Ah, my cute daughter, let daddy handle this!” The demon lord’s expression suddenly changed as he looked at the girl, his voice softening with a mix of protectiveness and affection.
I glanced over at her. She had black hair that cascaded down her back in waves, and she was wearing a long black dress that hugged her curves. Her bright violet eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and fear. She was completely unlike her father, possessing a beautiful form that looked to be in her late teens. Her D-sized breasts and fantastic figure were a stark contrast to her demonic features—the two small horns that popped out on the top of her head and the devil’s tail that came out the back of her dress.
Before I could admire her more, the demon lord leaped from his chair, coming at me with a massive sword of fire. I didn’t have much time to react, so I created a magic that would block that sword in its tracks. His sword struck an invisible barrier a few inches from my skin, and he was forced to jump back. Ah, that was too scary!
I immediately created another magic that prevented him from using magic. His magical sword immediately disappeared, and he made a noise of surprise. I then crafted a final piece of magic. The ground suddenly rose around and engulfed him. In less than five seconds, the demon lord had been completely subdued, trapped in a three-foot thickness of rock all around his body with only his head pointing out the top.
I brought up my sword, walking up to the demon lord. “Ah, that was easy enough! Well, now to just strike you down.”
I moved to swing the sword and cut off his head, but a sudden shout stopped me. The girl ran across the room and leaped against the rock, stopping me from making the blow without hurting her.
“No! Please, don’t hurt Papa!”
“It’s okay, honey, escape while I hold him off!” The demon lord roared, his voice filled with a mix of determination and desperation.
Of course, that was just silly. He wasn’t holding me off or anything. The girl didn’t let go, stubbornly clinging to the rock with her eyes closed, even though I had already stopped swinging and put my sword away.
“Please, Hero, please don’t do anything to my father. I-I’ll do anything if you don’t kill him!”
Anything, she says? Like butt stuff?
