I’m a bit confused by your comment. Do you understand the sponsorship system? You pay $5 to access the next chapter. If 10 different people decide to the do the same, I write the next chapter. However, one person can also just donate $50 to push the next chapter, which happens all the time. This is extra chapters being written beyond the scheduled weekly chapters (no comment on my reliability releasing those the last two months). Did you think $50 would mean it’s picked up for releases indefinately? Not sure how I could support myself on such a model of obtain enough to pay for a 10th of my electric bill for one month once and then have to write chapters for the next three years? I can guarantee you that novels that people are excited about do get sponsored a lot. Banged was constantly being sponsored when it wasn’t on my scheduled releases, and so were many others. If it makes you feel any better, I’ll be introducing a credit system for members today, so you’ll actually be able to donate toward your favorite sponsor chapters “free”. You’ll see the newsletter tonight, look forward to it.
BTW, you DO know that chapter 97 does not appear on RotMK’s t.o.c OR on the main site, right? (Only way to reach 97 is by going to 96 and pressing next)
You do know that ROTMK Ch. 97 is an unreleased sponsor chapter and only people who sponsor it can read it, right? It won’t release to the site until it reaches the bigger goal. However, I’ll ask Koko about see if we can get it so it shows in the ToC for people who have sponsored it. I think he presumed you’d pay, read it, and move on, and not be going back to it over and over until the goal was reached a new one came up.
