After thinking more I realizar that Deek is Cal’s son.

First: Deses never lie so it was impossible for him to fake surprised. he kill his family with a stoicism face, but the betrayal of his sister was impossible to hided.

Second: The world helps cal pleasing women but hope was inmune to that, that is the reason he was a quick shot and a mess.

Third: Calypso knows that Deek is half human, and she knows a lot. she would tell him if he is not human at all.

Fourth: when hope opened her legs again, we find that she is not crazy for him or found him better at sex, so he keeps the same performance.

Fifth. Cal says that he never looked at her sexually (while describing that he is afraid). But accepted inmediatly when he forgot everything, so he is a good liar and actor.

Sixth. The fifth plus, he is afraid of deses and he was able to infer he was the demon king that is the reason he acted surprised. Just being afraid for NTRing the poor deses.

Based on what I know about deses, he lies to hope because he knows she won’t believed him no matter what, so why care?

Penelope is the real daughter because she was able to read the murals, a power from the weavers not from white mages.

Poor deses, not a full paragraph in the story but a awesome protagonist. Just for loving his sister he lied and invented a full tragedy just to make her believe that all the shit was not her fault. even after her awful and sinister betrayal. And hope is definitely a selfish bitch.

Why I believe he did it: Probably there is a rule for the weavers not to get involved with the characters of the story. And something really bad was going to happen to her. So he decided to sacrifice everyone and everything he knows for her, that way she and her children can live.

That bitch need to get straight and learn modals I hope Deek can teach her how to be a good woman and stop opening her legs for anyone that impress her a little bit.
